xkcd

xkcd is a mix of math, science, wit, current events, and a new perspective. If you're not into math or science you might find it hard to keep up on all the posts, but most of the time they're rather simple and always funny.

Don't take yourself so seriously

(sorry for the bad video, the real one didn't allow embeded)

The Moth

The Moth is a not for profit group that presents spoken stories that are taped live and without notes. You can reach them through their site (where you can buy cds and read up on them) and you can also get a free podcast in itunes. Some of the stories are comedic and others are very sad, but all are true and in no way boring.

Here's a wonderfully artistic and simple game. I hope you enjoy.

The IT Crowd

The IT Crowd is a british comedy from Graham Linehan. It's the office with less people: two extreme steriotypes of geeky people, a "normal" woman, and a usually absent goth man. Unlike the office the plots are more wild and the humour is less bizzare for the American sense of humour.

The first two seasons are already out and are currently being showed on IFC. If you don't have IFC you can flip over to youtube and find all the episodes. So far there are only 12 episodes total, but the third season is in the works and will hopefully be good even after the yearlong hiatus.

You might not love this show enough to make a cross stitch, but it will make you laugh.

Free Rice

Free Rice is a website that donates rice to United Nations World Food Program. They do this by making money from advertisements on their website. To get people to reload their website many times they have questions for you to answer. The original part was vocabulary. They've added since then many other subjects. You can do anything from Spanish vocab to world geography. For each question you correctly answer they donate 20 grains of rice.
